Evelyn holds a bachelor degree in Psychology from Southern Queensland University. She has been a family life educator and a lay counsellor conducting talks, workshops, family life bonding camps and events in Corporations, Ministries, Schools, Libraries, Prisons, Community Clubs, Churches both in Singapore and overseas as well. She has also been featured in magazines, newsletters, on the television and Mediacorp radio.
A program partner with Focus On The Family, Evelyn is also an accredited instructor in ‘Parenting with Confidence’, ‘Families in Action’, ‘How to avoid marrying a jerk’, and ‘Family Wellness – Survival Skills for Healthy Families’ programs. In addition, she is certified in DISC psychometric profile administration.
Evelyn demonstrates great passion, sensitivity and compassion for people of all races, ages and walks of life. In 1995, she spearheaded a number of fund raising projects for the poor and needy, and in 1998, she helped set up and operate a Day Care Centre for the Elderly in Hougang. Her motto in life is “Believe in people; there is always something good in them no matter how bad you think they may appear to be”.
Currently, Evelyn is with Fei Yue Community Services, serving as HOD for the Family Life Education Department.
